Several reports claim that The Last of Us Part III is already in production and that its development is further along than believed. For such reason, fans are very excited; however, an actor of the franchise recently shared a disturbing news about the project.

During an interview with Dexerto, Jeffrey Pierce, actor who voices Tommy Miller, stated something that has fans of the popular franchise worried: he has yet to receive any scripts related to The Last of Us Part III.
Alarmingly for many, he also stated that, as far as he knows, there is nothing planned for now for a script. He noted that he's not aware if Naughty Dog is already preparing something, but at least he hasn't been notified in any way.
"At this point it’s not something that has begun in any fashion, at least, not that I know of, and I would hate to set myself up to have expectations about what it would be and then have it be something completely different," the voice actor stated.
Despite this, Pierce is still hopeful that there will be news about the script soon and that Naughty Dog will send it to him, as he wants to be part of a new project in the saga.
According to various sources, The Last of Us Part III is still a long way off, as the studio is still planning key elements such as conceptualization, design, prototypes and other elements of the initial development phase. There are even those who say that its release is so far off that it's possible that it could arrive as late as the debut of PlayStation 6.
