It's no secret that Elon Musk is a video game lover. While he doesn't currently devote as much time to them as he would like, he is still an active gamer. He recently spoke about his passion for this form of entertainment and surprised by saying that, at one point, he was one of the best players of Quake.
He claimed that annihilating demons in a video game always helps him calm "the demons" in his mind. During a recent interview, the tycoon explained that he managed to earn money thanks to his passion for Quake; however, he believes that he has lost much of his skills nowadays.
"I am 52 so my reflexes are not what they used to be but I have a lifetime of playing videogames. At one point I was maybe one of the best Quake players in the world. I actually won money in what I think was one of the first paid esports tournaments in the US, we're doing four-person Quake tournaments and we came second", says Musk.
He said that in this tournament he could not come in first place because the computer of one of his teammates failed. So he had to settle for second place. In response to his statements, some players invited him to play 1 vs. 1 games in Quake.

Players want to compete with Elon Musk in Quake
Dennis 'Thresh' Fong, who was one of the best Quake players decades ago, corroborated Elon Musk's words. After hearing his statements, Thresh claimed that the Tesla owner was indeed a very active player of the shooter and was known as Zip2.
He also claimed that they sometimes played together and that, of course, he ended up with the tycoon on several occasions. Because of this, many fans of the franchise started challenging Musk to a match. Others simply invited him to return to the game and do a special broadcast to show off his skills.
