While there haven't been very encouraging updates recently regarding the multiplayer of The Last of Us[/url], Naughty Dog has suggested that they have more projects in development for the franchise, and today the studio's chief creative officer and series creator has just dropped another hint.

Neil Druckmann, president and lead creator of The Last of Us, took the opportunity to congratulate Gustavo Santaolalla on receiving a significant distinction and to acknowledge his lifelong artistic work.

"Congratulations, maestro! What an incredible oeuvre!" Druckmann expressed to the composer of The Last of Us soundtrack.

Will Gustavo Santaolalla work on more The Last of Us?

What's interesting is that the message didn't end there; Druckmann reminded the artist that there are more plans to collaborate, suggesting that there are more The Last of Us projects in the works, as Santaolalla's collaborations with Naughty Dog have been linked to the post-apocalyptic franchise.

"But remember... we have much more collaboration ahead," commented the head of Naughty Dog.

Unfortunately, no further details were provided, so we don't know what future projects Druckmann is referring to. It's essential to note that they may not necessarily be video games, as the creator was involved in the HBO series of The Last of Us, and it's very likely that he will also be involved in Season 2.

While Santaolalla has only worked with Naughty Dog on The Last of Us projects, it's not ruled out that he may participate in another franchise.
