Like all electronic devices, consoles require maintenance from time to time. However, we have to accept that sometimes we forget to give it to them or we simply think they don't need it. Proof of this is the story of a gamer who neglected his Xbox Series X for several years and paid the consequences.

The reddit user known as swagdemon6ix recently shared a video that baffled many gamers. The reason? The person didn't maintain it and didn't even clean his system for 3 years, so upon inspection he got several unpleasant surprises.

This can happen to your console if you don't take care of it

How often do you clean your consoles? It's clear that gamer swagdemon6ix doesn't do it very often, as he decided to give his Xbox Series X a little maintenance after several years of heavy use. Apparently, the gamer had never cleaned his system since he acquired it, as a video shows its poor condition.

To say that the console is dusty is an understatement, as the gamer extracted a huge amount of dirt from various parts of his Xbox Series X. The community was surprised and did not hesitate to joke about the lack of attention to the hardware.

"What the hell is that, do you leave your Xbox outside or what?", "Do you have a cat sleeping on top of your Xbox?", "Why is your Xbox growing a carpet, what's going on?", are some of the comments made by gamers. Others claimed that the amount of dirt inside the console is not normal, so they suspect that its owner is a smoker.

Some gamers recommended swagdemon6ix to clean his console more often and give it a good maintenance in the future. Also, they advised him to quit smoking, at least while playing, as it can ruin his system sooner or later. Below you can watch the video:
