Following the unprecedented success of Super Mario Bros. The Movie, the next logical step is to adapt The Legend of Zelda for the big screen. Nintendo recently announced that they will bring Link and company's story to life in a live-action film. While awaiting more details, an actress has expressed her interest in playing Zelda.
The announcement was brief in terms of details, confirming only that filmmaker Wes Ball will direct, with production handled by Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad.

During a conversation with GamesRadar+, Patricia Summersett talked about the possibility of being part of the feature film. When asked if she wanted to bring the character to life in the cinematic project, she expressed her support for the idea. "Of course, I would. I'd love to play Zelda over and over again," she commented.
The actress then affirmed that the franchise and the community are already part of her life due to her involvement in the latest Nintendo franchise video games.
"Now I'm pretty connected with the fan base. It's been 7 years, so this is my life. It was 3 games, and I could always use more. I love this part of my life and the community. It's not like I'm going to disappear anytime soon. It's an absolute joy," Patricia Summersett said.
Of course, it's likely that Nintendo will hire Hollywood celebrities with significant advertising weight, similar to what happened with Super Mario Bros. The Movie.
