In 2023, Nintendo experienced first-hand success in the film industry with Super Mario Bros. The Movie. Pending more information, the community has one big question: which actors will play the lead roles?
On November 7th, Nintendo announced that a live-action movie of the saga is in development. Details are scarce, but we already know that Shigeru Miyamoto and Avi Arad will be producers, while the direction will be handled by filmmaker Wes Ball.
Because the Japanese company did not reveal information about the cast, fans turned to social media to share the names of Hollywood stars they would like to see in the adaptation. These comments reached the ears of an actress.
Hunter Schafer would like to play Zelda in The Legend of Zelda movie
In the sea of suggestions, one name stands out: Hunter Schafer, an actress who participated in the series Euphoria and will soon be seen on the big screen with the release of The Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. Fans insist that this young celebrity would be perfect for the role of Zelda.
These messages did not go unnoticed. During the premiere in London of the upcoming installment of The Hunger Games, Hunter Schafer suggested that she would like to play the Nintendo character in the live-action film of The Legend of Zelda.
"That would be great. Personally, I love the game. I played it as a child and still play it. Who knows! That would be great," said the young actress.
These statements will not surprise many. This is because Hunter Schafer had already expressed her interest in being part of a potential adaptation of Nintendo's video game.
