Gotham Knights rises from the ashes thanks to PS Plus and Xbox Game Pass, according to a report
We must remember that the Batman-themed video game joined the Xbox Game Pass catalog on October 3, 2023. Soon after, on October 17, it arrived on the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus.
According to information shared by analyst Mat Piscatella, Gotham Knights experienced a surge in popularity after its debut on these services. As seen in the graph, over 6% of Xbox Series X|S users played this title during the week of October 1, a significant increase from the 0.3% from the previous week.
To a lesser extent, Warner Bros. Games Montréal's open-world game also saw an uptick after its debut on PS Plus, meaning PlayStation 5 players gave it a chance.
"While the initial increase in PS Plus didn't match Game Pass, as of the most recent week, the same percentage of players on each platform engaged with this title," commented industry analyst Mat Piscatella on November 7.
