In recent months there have been rumors about an alleged DLC for God of War: Ragnarök, but nothing has been confirmed and Santa Monica Studio has remained silent about it. Despite this, reports about the new content for the saga do not stop and a new source claims that it is real and will be announced before the end of the year.
A major God of War announcement is imminent
According to a report from Ramon Baylos, editor of Areajugones, Santa Monica Studio is indeed working on more content for God of War: Ragnarök. He stated that a very reliable source told him that the DLC will be confirmed and revealed very soon.
Specifically, it is expected to be presented later this year, so it is speculated that it could be one of the big announcements of The Game Awards 2023, an event that will take place in December.
The report also talks about the type of content Santa Monica Studio is supposedly preparing. Initial reports claimed that it will be a DLC that will expand the story of God of War: Ragnarök, but the most recent report talks about another possibility.
Baylos claims that the content could become a separate mid-scale title. So, it would be something similar to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales regarding Marvel's Spider-Man. It is important to note that this is just another rumor about the franchise, so it is best to wait for PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio to confirm something about it.
