Once again, the video game and entertainment industry is in mourning. Unfortunately, news of the untimely death of Kenneth Edward Lally, a renowned actor who contributed to high-profile projects such as Far Cry, Mortal Kombat, and Resident Evil, has surfaced in the past few hours.

The news was shared by Karen Dyer, an actress who portrayed Elena in Street Fighter and Sheva Alomar in Resident Evil 5. Through a social media post, she expressed her grief over the passing of her colleague and dedicated a few words of farewell.

"It's still very hard to believe. We will miss you and your incredible talent. You left too soon. I love you, Ken. Rest well," wrote Karen Dyer on her personal account.

Through a Twitter post (X), the official Mortal Kombat account mourned the sad demise of Ken Lally. The message reads, "Rest in peace, we will miss you." The actor had a prominent role in the 2011 franchise reboot, where he portrayed Smoke, Goro, and Shinnok.

Kenneth Edward Lally, better known in the industry as Ken Lally, was born in 1971. He received academic training at the University of Westminster and underwent professional training at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.

Throughout his extensive professional career, the actor made significant contributions to both television programs and video games.

In the gaming world, Kenneth Edward Lally is recognized for his roles as Smoke, Goro, and Shinnok in the 2011 version of Mortal Kombat. He also portrayed Robert Kendo in the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3, and served as a motion capture actor for Albert Wesker in the fifth installment.

Ken Lally also had credits in Far Cry New Dawn, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Final Fantasy XV: Comrades, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Mafia III, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and many more games. He passed away at the age of 52.
