The update for the RPG will arrive soon and will address various issues

This week, Cyberpunk 2077 received update 2.0, which added several new features and also fixed many issues in the game. Unfortunately, the experience still has much room for improvement, and the clearest proof is that CD Projekt RED has just confirmed that they are already working on another update.

CD Projekt RED announced that they are developing update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077. It's an update aimed at providing a better experience for those who have taken advantage of the new features to return to Night City.

But what changes can we expect in this update? To start with, there are performance improvements, especially while exploring Dogtown, the district that is the highlight of Night City. Some errors that caused problems in different missions are also being fixed.

That's not all, as the option to adjust the radio volume is also being added. So, you can decide how loud or soft you want it to sound while driving through the streets of Night City.

What are the changes in update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077?

Here are the preliminary details of update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077:

  • The distorted effect caused when selecting a specific dialogue option when talking to Johnny at the end of Automatic Love will no longer persist on the screen.
  • V will no longer die in The Heist when falling through the elevator while going to the 42nd floor with low FPS.
  • An issue where the user interface could display controller inputs when playing with a keyboard and mouse has been fixed.
  • It is now possible to switch cyber weapons correctly when switching from one to another.
  • Gig: Breaking News will activate correctly when approaching the mission area.
  • The volume of vehicle radios has been adjusted so that it is not too low compared to other game sounds.
  • The issue of corrupted save files on PlayStation has been addressed by increasing the maximum size limit of save files. Note: This will not fix saves corrupted before the update. If you have this problem, keep a working saved game (for example, re-save it as a manual saved game) until version 2.01 arrives.
  • Performance improvements for both PC and consoles, especially in the Dogtown area.

Update 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 does not have a release date yet. That said, CD Projekt RED expects its debut to be "soon."
