During an interview with SFX magazine (via GamesRadar), Tammi stated that the movie will be full of references that fans will love and identify with no problem. However, he noted that some easter eggs will be very obvious, while others will be more hidden.

For this reason, he believes that some details will go unnoticed the first time fans enjoy the film. Because of this, he thinks that fans of the saga will have to watch the film several times to discover all its references and secrets.

"Well, I can’t give any of those away. I’ll say this: I think some will be immediately obvious. Then I think others will be found on a second or third watch. We’ve got some things that are buried in there a little bit more that you might not notice on the first watch," said the director.

On the other hand, Tammi mentioned that initially she was not familiar with the universe of the franchise. However, she discovered it little by little and was enchanted. This is how she realized that Five Nights at Freddy's had everything she needed to make it to theaters.

"I think my bigger impression was that this is such a cool atmospheric world that is just prime to be adapted into a feature film. So I was going in with that lens of, what would this space and place and journey feel like in a film format, and I just got so excited about that," concluded the director.
