The popularity of Metal Slug has not waned despite the fact that the franchise has been in the freezer for several years. Although it will return in the future, its creators decided to create a new saga that will undoubtedly attract the attention of many players.

It is Black Finger JET, a title that was one of the protagonists of the Tokyo Game Show 2023. KOHACHI STUDIO's project is a run and gun that promises to bring back the best of Metal Slug and take it to a new level. Here's what we know about this interesting project.

For starters, you should know that KOHACHI STUDIO has among its ranks developers who worked on Metal Slug. So don't be surprised to see that Black Finger JET looks quite similar to the installments of that saga in terms of concept and mechanics.

As we told you, it is a run and gun title focused on action and side-scrolling. KOHACHI STUDIO's mission is to offer a title reminiscent of Metal Slug, but offering an even more exciting experience.

The title will feature a wide variety of weapons, vehicles, enemies and, of course, huge bosses that will become a headache. Despite its similarities to Metal Slug, the developers claim that Black Finger JET will ultimately feel different and unique.

Visually it stands out for its attractive pixel art, which is mixed with environments and enemies that are sometimes in 3D. There is still no estimated release date and, for now, we only know that it will be released on PC, via Steam.
