How many games does Xbox have in development? Executive says there are many and raises the hype

Xbox has been criticized for years for the lack of games and other compelling content in its ecosystem. So Xbox Game Studios and its partners have been doing their best to change that with more consistent, higher-quality releases.

Crystin Cox, Microsoft's director of live game operations for Xbox Game Studios, was confident about the brand's future. She assured that Xbox has a lot of games on its hands that are already on the way.

Xbox has more than a dozen games in development

During the Game Developers Conference 2023, Cox spoke about future plans for Xbox, its studios and partners. Microsoft recently uploaded the talk to YouTube and the executive's statements did not go unnoticed by gamers.

He stated that Xbox has more than a dozen games in development, so gamers can expect a future full of attractive releases. Cox assured that each of the projects is unique, so variety is also guaranteed in the brand's ecosystem.

"There are a lot of projects we are working on right now and we have over a dozen games we are currently working on. Each of those projects is totally unique and we approach them in a very personalized way," said the executive. You can listen to her statements at the 5:38 mark in the video below.

What Xbox games are already on the way?

Xbox has some very compelling first-party titles set to debut in the coming months. Coming soon is Forza Motorsport, while the company will continue to work on Senua's Saga: Hellblade II, Project Mara, Avowed, Clockwork Revolution, South of Midnight, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, State of Decay 3, Perfect Dark, Everwild, Indiana Jones, The Elder Scrolls VI, among others.

As if that were not enough, the company has partners who are also preparing interesting proposals. There is the Hideo Kojima game that is still a mystery. We also have titles like ToweBorne, Contraband, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl and more.

In addition to all this, Microsoft is about to finalize the purchase of Activision Blizzard, so it will offer much more content to its players in the future.
