Insomniac Games is one of the most prestigious studios in the video game industry. After surprising the world with Marvel’s Spider-Man in 2018 and a spin-off centered around Miles Morales in 2020, they will attempt to repeat the feat in October 2023 with the sequel. However, it seems that they are gradually allocating resources to their next project.
Marvel’s Wolverine has already started its development
Although the studio has been working hard on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 in recent months, we know they have another big project in the works: Marvel’s Wolverine, a title that follows the X-Men hero.
The company confirmed the existence of this new video game during a 2021 State of Play. Since then, very little official information has been revealed. Although everything indicates that its release is still far off, a new clue suggests that formal development has already begun.
Tommy Mann, Senior Cinematic Animator at Insomniac Games, took to his personal Twitter account to express his enthusiasm for the new adventure of Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The interesting part comes at the end of his post, where he hints that he has already started working on the game featuring Logan.
"I can't wait for people to play Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Working on this game with so many amazing people was a lot of fun; however, today I can comment on something new: Marvel’s Wolverine," reads Tommy Mann's message.
The creative abstained from revealing more information, but his statements excited fans and seem to indicate that development of the studio's new project is progressing well.
When will Marvel’s Wolverine debut?
It has been two years since Insomniac Games announced the new game featuring the X-Men superhero. Unfortunately, information related to the release date remains scarce, so it is unknown when this new PlayStation 5 exclusive will debut.
We should note that Sony is already preparing a new State of Play. Hopefully, the live stream will be the ideal stage to learn more about this new Marvel title.
