One of the individuals crucial in bringing these projects to fruition was Stig Asmussen, the director of both games. Therefore, many will lament to hear that the creative has decided to depart from Electronic Arts.
According to information from Bloomberg, Stig Asmussen has left his position at Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts. This means he won't be working on future installments of Star Wars Jedi and won't be responsible for concluding Cal Kestis' story in the world of video games.
At the moment, it is unclear exactly why Stig Asmussen made the decision to leave his position at Electronic Arts, especially considering that both Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor were critical and commercial successes. That said, an EA spokesperson states that he is seeking new creative adventures in his career.
"After careful thought and consideration, Stig Asmussen has decided to leave Respawn to pursue other adventures, and we wish him the best of luck," said an EA spokesperson in a statement. "Veteran leaders at Respawn will step up to guide the team as they continue their work on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor."
