Kentaro Miura passed away in May 2021, and the future of Berserk was uncertain for a while. Shortly after, we learned that the manga will continue to be active thanks to Kouji Mori, creator of Holyland and friend of the late mangaka.
The moment that fans have been waiting for months is finally near, as this week the exact date for the return of Berserk was confirmed. The franchise will have a new chapter and volume, which will mark the beginning of its next arc.
When will the Berserk manga return?
According to Young Animal magazine (via GameRant) the Berserk manga will return next September 22, day in which a new chapter will debut that will start the next arc of the saga.
We know that a few days later, on September 29, a new volume will be published. This is a very important moment for fans, as the franchise will return after an extended hiatus and, in addition, it will be the first material to be published after Miura's death.
The Fantasia Arc concluded months ago and everything is ready for the start of a new arc. It will be based on the conceptual ideas Miura left behind and the ideas he shared with Studio Gaga and Mori before his passing. So the celebrated mangaka's work will still be present.
As you can imagine, fans are very excited and eager to enjoy the next stage of the franchise. Below you can see an image of the next volume:
