Records reveal that Bandai Namco is working on several new and unannounced IPs

The projects already have names, and three of them are related to Pac-Man.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is one of the gaming companies with a rich history in the industry and owns a considerable number of IPs. However, the Japanese company doesn't solely rely on established IPs; it also experiments with new proposals, as evidenced by the new IPs that could soon debut as video games.

It's common for companies to register trademarks or intellectual property before announcing any games to avoid issues with their names. This way, internet users can learn more about projects that have yet to be revealed.

The most recent case is that of Bandai Namco Entertainment, which has just registered IPs, and what catches attention is that there are several of them, with half of them being from unestablished IPs.

What new IPs is Bandai Namco working on?

The registrations in question were made between late August and early September in patent offices in various regions, such as the United States, Japan, and Europe. All registrations are described as entertainment and electronic game projects, so it's almost certain that these IPs are planned to be video games.

Half of the registrations are for Pac-Man projects, specifically named PAC-MAN Superfast, PAC-MAN Slider, and PAC-MAN Roller. Obviously, there are no details about their gameplay, availability, etc., but the latest registration includes an image that appears to be the logo for PAC-MAN Roller.

What might be more interesting for Bandai Namco fans is that the other three registrations are for entirely new IPs, as they have no relation to any previous company projects: Operation Memories, Fractured Daydream, and Shadow Labyrinth, as pointed out by Gematsu.

It's worth remembering that the Tokyo Game Show 2023 is just around the corner, so it's not unreasonable to expect that some of these projects might make an appearance at the event. We'll keep you informed.
