Will it be? Switch 2 reportedly to debut with Final Fantasy VII Remake port

Leaker revealed more details on alleged console features

The rumors about Nintendo Switch 2 do not stop and now there is a crazy report that has divided the opinion of gamers. According to a reputed leaker, Nintendo's next console will debut with a port of Final Fantasy VII Remake.

On the other hand, he revealed more information about the console's supposed features, its cartridges and briefly talked about backward compatibility, a feature that has been called into question by some recent reports.

Switch 2 would have Final Fantasy VII Remake and these features

The information was shared by Im A Hero Too, a leaker who has revealed details of the alleged remakes of Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy X. He recently claimed that a port Final Fantasy VII Remake is in planning for the Nintendo Switch 2.

He stated that the title looks and works very similar than in a PS5 dev kit. He also noted that the process to port the game was short, so he believes it will be one of the launch games for the console.

So, Square Enix would already be working with Nintendo Switch 2. Thanks to this, Im A Hero Too supposedly knows that the new console will feature backward compatibility, that it will use a new cartridge and will have a new camera feature.

Im A Hero Too proved to be a reliable source in the past, but for some reason he withdrew from various forums. In recent days he came back as several impostors were using his name to share false reports, so he decided to deny them and clarify the situation.

The reality is that for now there is no way to confirm his information. Neither Nintendo nor Square Enix have given any clues about Switch 2. On the other hand, many believe that a port of Final Fantasy VII Remake for the system is not entirely credible, especially since the game remains a PlayStation exclusive on consoles and hasn't made it to Xbox.
