Turn 10 explained the absence of several options that will be missed by fans

The launch of the new Forza Motorsport is getting closer and closer, so Turn 10 recently revealed more information about the content that will be included in the title during its release. Unfortunately for fans, the developer confirmed the absence of 3 popular features that will not be available during its debut.

Creatives explained the lack of such features and stated that one of them is very difficult to implement. This is due to the adjustments they made to the title's rendering engine to make everything look phenomenal.

Forza Motorsport will not have split-screen and other options on its debut

Turn 10 confirmed that Forza Motorsport will debut without an option for split-screen play, a spectator mode and an option to compete against artificial intelligence in various multiplayer modes. Chris Esaki, the studio's creative director, explained the absence of these features.

For starters, split-screen won't be available at launch because it's "really difficult to implement." The reason? The studio made a huge investment to take its rendering engine and the game's graphics section to a new level, which prevented them from having the option ready for the release.

As for the absence of the other features, the creative stated that they simply don't fit the experience they intended or the rules of multiplayer games.

"Having players come into a featured multiplayer event and taking player slots, and then spectating? It's not really the racing we had intended. Similarly, racing with AI in featured multiplayer with all its potential impacts on your safety rating also didn't make a whole lot of sense to have and is not going to be available for us at launch," Esaki said.

While there is a possibility that split-screen will be implemented at a later date, the reality is that the studio did not comment on a possible post-release update that would add it, nor did it give any information on a possible date for it to be available.
