Sarah Bond clarified a confusion related to the service and its games

Sarah Bond, corporate vice president of Xbox, shared some news that will probably disappoint more than one Xbox Game Pass user. Recently, the executive hinted at the possible arrival of attractive games to the service, among them ELDEN RING. However, this will not happen.

In case you do not know, Bond has made dynamics in their social networks where he publishes a series of emojis and challenges players to guess the title to which it refers. The executive clarified that she did this just for fun and that she never wanted to confuse or give false hopes about games that could come to the service.

No, ELDEN RING is not on its way to Xbox Game Pass

Bond's mysterious posts got many gamers excited, as they all referenced Xbox exclusive games or titles that have been part of the Xbox Game Pass catalog. For that reason, his post about ELDEN RING gave hope to see FromSoftware's title on the service.

Unfortunately, it will not be so, as the executive already clarified the situation. Through her social networks, Bond stated that she is a fan of emojis, so she thought it was a good idea to entertain players with some guesses.

He clarified that his posts never had hidden messages, so at no point did he hint at games that were on their way to Xbox Game Pass. That said, ELDEN RING won't be coming to the service, at least not for now.

"Didn’t mean to confuse by starting with a bunch of Game Pass games. This is just a game about games— no hidden messages about Game Pass or anything else . . . I’m an emoji fan. On a long flight I made these game-name-emoji-puzzles, and decided to share just for fun," Bond stated to put the rumors to rest.

Now, the above doesn't mean that ELDEN RING will never make it to the service. Xbox could negotiate with FromSoftware at some point to make it happen; however, gamers better not expect the title any time soon in the Xbox Game Pass catalog.
