The Snitch, one of the most reputable insiders in the industry, intrigued the entire gaming community with another one of his cryptic posts. Through his social media, the well-known streamer revealed a brief message that excited PlayStation fans: "P x S."
For some reason, many people immediately thought of the brand and a possible acquisition by Sony. Thus, once again, PlayStation users dreamed of a potential purchase of Square Enix or even SEGA.
However, The Snitch has already clarified the situation and dashed the community's hopes regarding an acquisition. Interestingly, his message remains a mystery, and nobody knows for sure what it's about.
The Snitch denies hinting at a possible PlayStation purchase
Some players originally thought that The Snitch's message referred to the debut of Pokémon Sleep; however, that's not the case. The insider has information about an imminent announcement that apparently is related to PlayStation.
Despite this, he made it clear that it's not related to anything related to a possible acquisition by Sony. Through his Discord, he explained that the message has nothing to do with Pokémon or the possible acquisition of Square Enix. He pointed out that there is no way he could have privileged information about a possible industry purchase, as such moves are difficult to leak.
As a result, all the PlayStation fans who dreamed of Sony's purchase of Square Enix or SEGA were disappointed. Especially since many players expect Sony to respond in some way to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard.
Despite this, social media is flooded with requests and conjectures about Sony's acquisition of a major company. Some also believe that the insider is referring to an upcoming PlayStation event where important announcements might be made, such as the supposed revelation of a new PS5 model.
