The Bethesda RPG title will debut in early September

One of the most important projects of the second half of 2023 is Starfield, the new RPG developed by Bethesda. With just a few months left until its official release, it is not surprising that the head of the Xbox brand has the privilege of trying it out in advance. While his involvement may be related to work, at the end of the day, many fans are feeling envious.

Phil Spencer's Xbox LIVE profile is public, which means that players can send him a friend request and follow him to see the titles he enjoys. That's how the community discovered that the executive devoted many hours to Vampire Survivors and recently enjoyed a classic Xbox 360 title.

Envy! Phil Spencer is already playing Starfield

A few days ago, a user shared an image showing that Phil Spencer, Bethesda's Vice President Pete Hines, and a third player have already played Starfield. At least, 2 people shared screenshots showing that the Xbox executive has already tested the role-playing game.

As expected, fans showed their astonishment and displayed their jealous side, which is a natural reaction considering the executive played the game 2 months before the official release. "Darn, I should pay $6000 USD for early access," joked one fan. "Well, that's one of the perks of being the CEO of Xbox," assured another.

Fortunately, fans won't have to wait long to play Starfield on their consoles or PCs. However, it's best to be patient and avoid bombarding developers with questions on social media, as they won't get a response. On the other hand, some are optimistic and believe that the game could take the GOTY from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

But tell us, what do you think of this curious discovery? Let us know your thoughts in the comments.

Starfield will be available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Game Pass on September 6.
