One of the big stories of 2023 is Battlebit Remastered. The first-person shooter developed by a team of 4 people has gained attention for surpassing AAA franchises like Call of Duty and Battlefield in various aspects. If you don't have a PC and would like to play it, you'll be glad to know that it could be on its way to consoles.
Recently, the team at TheLiquidHorse, the developer of Battlebit Remastered, participated in a Reddit question and answer session. They revealed that it is possible to develop a console port for Battlebit Remastered, which means we could see it on PlayStation, Xbox, and even the Nintendo Switch.
The downside is that, although there is a possibility of seeing the shooter on consoles, it will take a long time for that to happen. This is because TheLiquidHorse wants to provide the same level of support for the console version as they do for the PC version, which is challenging considering they are a team of 3 people.
"At the moment, [there are no plans to bring Battlebit Remastered to consoles], experience matters to us. Currently, we wouldn't be able to deliver the same experience on consoles, and until we reach that point, we won't see a console release," said TheLiquidHorse. "It's possible [that it will come to consoles], but it will take time."
So, there is a possibility of seeing Battlebit Remastered on consoles, but first, TheLiquidHorse needs to have the development capacity to make it happen. We'll see if the studio's comment motivates any publisher to support them with the necessary resources to make it a reality.
