Grand Theft Auto is a beloved franchise not only for its gameplay but also because its world is a satire of real life. Interestingly, fans brought to life one of the fast-food chains featured in Grand Theft Auto V, but unfortunately, Take-Two Interactive just shut down their project.

You may remember that in 2022 a group of enthusiasts brought the Cluckin' Bell fast-food chain into the real world, which can be found in Los Santos within the game Grand Theft Auto V. The event took place in San Diego, California, during the San Diego Comic-Con 2022 weekend.

The organizers of the event, the restaurant brand Smokin J's BBQ and the Las Vegas fashion company boyworldwide, seemed to have succeeded and recently announced the return of this event in two parts for this year.

This new edition would not only mark the return of Cluckin' Bell but also bring the Burger Shot franchise to life, another food chain from the game. However, Take-Two Interactive ruined their plans.

The Burger Shot-themed event was scheduled for this weekend, while Cluckin' Bell would return from Wednesday until the following Sunday (the San Diego Comic-Con 2023 weekend).

But Take-Two Interactive canceled it in the worst way, just hours before Burger Shot's opening, they sent a cease and desist order to the event organizers, making it clear that there would be legal issues if the event took place.

"Last night we received a cease and desist letter from the law firm representing Take-Two Interactive," reads a statement sent by Smokin J's BBQ to RockstarINTEL. "In response, we were forced to discard the Burger Shot event that was planned for this weekend," the statement reads.

Through a video on social media, boyworldwide confirmed the bad news and expressed that they sadly had to make the decision to cancel Burger Shot, as they knew some fans had already made plans to experience it.

The good news is that the organizers found a way to proceed with the second part of the event, Cluckin' Bell, apparently without conflicts with Take-Two Interactive, but not without making a slight change.

"We are still going to do the Cluckin' Bell-type installation next weekend; however, it is now going to be a parody installation called Dont Clukin Tell."

That being said, it will be possible to find the Dont Cluckin Tell establishment at 751 4th Ave, in San Diego, from July 19th to 23rd.
