A new service is coming soon to Microsoft consoles

There is good news for Xbox gamers who love retro titles, as Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One will soon receive 1300 classic games. This thanks to the debut of a new service on Microsoft consoles: Antstream Arcade.

In case you don't remember, this is a subscription service that allows you to enjoy a wide variety of retro games from the cloud. So Xbox users will have access to its catalog that includes classics from Atari, NES, SNES and many other classic consoles. While this is great news, there is one detail that will disappoint gamers in certain regions.

Antstream Arcade coming to Xbox with hundreds of retro games

Antstream Arcade will be available on Xbox starting July 21. It will be the first cloud platform outside the Microsoft ecosystem that can be used on Xbox X|S Series and Xbox One. As we mentioned, its catalog is made up of 1,300 games from various platforms.

Users will find classic titles from Amiga, Amstrad, Atari, Game Boy, Lynx, Genesis, NES, SNES, PlayStation, ZX Spectrum and a wide variety of arcade games. Just don't expect to play titles developed by Nintendo or PlayStation, as Antstream Arcade does not have the licenses to offer them.

To give you an idea, the service offers SNES titles such as Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Super Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, Earthworm Jim, among others. Interested players will be able to access the catalog for an annual payment of $29.99 USD. There is also the option to pay $79.99 USD for unlimited access to the service.

Unfortunately, Antstream Arcade is not available in all regions at the time of this writing. For now, it is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and several countries in Europe.
