So far, The Last of Us: Part III has not been officially announced, but the project seems inevitable, and many want to know what Naughty Dog has planned. That's why it caught a lot of attention when a famous insider in the film and television industry shared information about the story of this new installment.
DanielRPK, one of the most well-known insiders in the world of cinema and the MCU, recently made a post on his Patreon. In it, he revealed that he received casting information that seems to unveil details about the next episode of The Last of Us.

According to the information, in some part of The Last of Us: Part III, we will see a group of scavengers living on the outskirts of a post-apocalyptic city. They all live in a Victorian house that they use as their base.
Apparently, Naughty Dog is looking for talent to play the following 5 characters:
- Val: a woman who is the leader of the scavenger group
- Ezra: a man who wants to take control away from Val
- Lucas: a caring man who, after developing a relationship with another scavenger, shows his dark side
- Mason: a former soldier who will have to choose between his loyalty to Ezra and the rest of the house
- Gracis: a woman between 18 and 25 years old
It's important to note that DanielRPK never stated that these characters will be the main focus of The Last of Us: Part III. They could simply be important parts of the story, similar to Sam and Henry in The Last of Us.
That being said, there are also speculations that DanielRPK may have been mistaken and that this casting information is for the multiplayer experience of The Last of Us as a service being prepared by Naughty Dog. However, the insider had previously mentioned that the studio is working on the third part of the story.
It's worth mentioning that Naughty Dog has not said anything about The Last of Us: Part III so far. Therefore, it's recommended to take this information with a grain of salt.
