Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is considered by many as one of the best installments of Assassin's Creed. It seems that Ubisoft understands this perfectly, which is why, according to reports, a remake is in the works.
According to information from Kotaku, a couple of anonymous sources familiar with Ubisoft's plans have confirmed that a remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is already in development. It's worth mentioning that the project is still in the early stages, so it will be several years before we see it.
An important point is that a team from Ubisoft Singapore, the studio responsible for the franchise's naval combat, will be involved in the development of this remake. Therefore, it is expected that this element will be modernized in this installment to be on par with what we saw in Odyssey, Valhalla, or even what we will see in the upcoming Skull & Bones.
It's important to note that while this information comes from a reliable source, it is not confirmed. In fact, a Ubisoft spokesperson declined to comment on the matter. Therefore, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt and considering it official only when Ubisoft makes a statement regarding it.
That being said, Ubisoft considering an Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake is not entirely far-fetched.
