In recent days, the news that has circulated worldwide, for unfortunate reasons, is the disaster suffered by the submarine Titan from the company OceanGate, which claimed the lives of 5 people. Strangely enough, this tragedy found a connection with the gaming world because the submarine was operated with a Logitech controller, and now because one of the world's most famous streamers could have been a victim in this sad incident.
MrBeast was invited to board the Titan submarine a few weeks ago. In a post on his official Twitter account, YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, revealed that he was invited to descend to the Titanic in the Titan submarine, owned by OceanGate. While he didn't disclose details, it wouldn't be surprising that the streamer received this invitation given his fame on the Internet and the publicity and commercial benefits it could bring to the supposedly specialized company in this type of tourist dives.
Why consider MrBeast could have been a victim in this incident? The information revealed after the unfortunate event showed that Titan didn't have the certifications or regulations to be considered a vehicle capable of conducting such descents that complied with safety protocols.
Members of the submarine investigation scene, including film director James Cameron, who became an enthusiast of deep-sea exploration, stated that what happened with OceanGate's Titan was a disaster waiting to happen, which could have occurred during any of its dives in recent weeks. Hence, the famous streamer MrBeast could have been one of the victims.
I was invited earlier this month to ride the titanic submarine, I said no. Kind of scary that I could have been on it pic.twitter.com/bQUnaRiczA
