In terms of units sold, the Xbox 360 has been Microsoft's most successful console. That being said, with the good moment that the brand is going through, many wonder how that time compares to today. To the surprise of many, Xbox now generates much more revenue than in the Xbox 360 era.

After the Xbox Game Showcase, there was a closed-door presentation with some Microsoft and Xbox executives. It was there where Phil Spencer, head of Xbox, revealed that the Xbox brand currently generates double the revenue than in the Xbox 360 era, making it clear that the brand is in a very strong position.

"At a behind-the-scenes press briefing, Xbox head Phil Spencer said gaming revenues for the company are twice what they were during the 360 era," said Stephen Totilo, one of the journalists present at the event.

According to Spencer, Xbox expects to generate $1 billion USD this year alone in revenue related to PC gaming. Thus, it is clear that the Xbox brand is in a great moment thanks to diversifying their products and delivering material that interests players.
