Marvel Snap does not want to miss out on the synergy it can have with the new Marvel releases. That's why it will take advantage of the premiere of Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse to launch a new season focused on Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Miguel O'Hara, and other versions of the arachnid superhero.
Second Dinner announced Spider-Versus, the upcoming season of Marvel Snap that will run from June 5th to July 3rd. As its name suggests, it is a season focused entirely on Spider-Man, the variants of this hero, and other characters from his universe.
As with every season, one of the main novelties of Spider-Versus is the new cards. This time we will have 4 new cards: Ghost-Spider; Spider-Ham; Silk, and Spider-Man 2099. The abilities of these cards are as follows:
- Ghost-Spider (2 energy; 3 power): The last card you played moves to this location
- Spider-Ham (1 energy; 1 power): Transform the highest cost card in your opponent's hand into a Pig. It retains its Power and Cost, but loses its abilities.
- Silk (2 energy; 5 power): After any card is played here, it moves to another location
- Spider-Man 2099 (4 energy; 6 power): The first time it moves from a location, destroy an opponent's card there.
It is worth mentioning that Ghost-Spider will be the featured card of the Battle Pass, so you can get it from June 5th if you buy the pass. On the other hand, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2099 will be the first Marvel Snap cards to debut directly in Series 4. Silk will be available as part of Series 5.
In Spider-Versus, Marvel Snap will also have 2 new locations. The first is Aunt May's Base, which grants +3 power to the first card played there and also moves it. The other location is Great Web, which, when activated, moves a random card to Great Web per turn. It is worth mentioning that only one player will be affected each turn and it will be chosen randomly.

Marvel Snap is getting a new game mode
Another novelty that is on the way as part of Spider-Versus is the new Conquest mode. This is a new mode to enjoy online matches against strangers that will reward you for winning matches consecutively.
How will it work? There will be different levels. If you win your first match, you will receive a ticket for the Bronze Conquest Mode. There, if you win 2 consecutive matches, you will receive a ticket for the Silver level, and so on, increasing one match for each level. Each time you surpass a level, you will be rewarded with medals that you can redeem for Credits, Gold, Boosters, and more. In addition, those who win at the Infinite level will receive a special frame for their avatar.
