Despite criticisms, The Witcher confirms Season 5 with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia

Filming for Season 4 has already begun with the new actor.

The third season of The Witcher will debut in a few weeks and it will be Henry Cavill's big farewell, who will leave the role of Geralt of Rivia and hand it over to Liam Hemsworth. Netflix has already confirmed Season 4 with the new actor and there were reports of a possible Season 5.

After several rumors, it has just been confirmed that the series will continue and will indeed have a Season 5 with Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia. This information was corroborated by Sophie Holland, casting director of the popular production.

THE WITCHER CONFIRMS SEASON 5

In statements to Deadline, Holland explained that filming for Season 4 recently began. So the team and the rest of the actors are already working alongside Liam Hemsworth, the new Geralt of Rivia.

To everyone's surprise, the casting director also confirmed that there will be a Season 5 after a brief hiatus. "We are about to start filming the fourth season with Liam Hemsworth and there will be a brief hiatus, then we will go straight into the fifth season," said Holland.

She was asked about Cavill's departure, but she refused to give an answer. Instead, she expressed excitement for Liam's work. She also added that Season 4 will be great as it will have new characters and familiar faces.

"I'm really excited to see what Liam brings. He has a lot of followers. The fourth season will be a good mix of new characters and returning faces," Holland concluded.

Fans are still upset about the actor change for Geralt of Rivia, so they threatened to boycott Season 3, whose first part will premiere later this month. Also, there are upset viewers who demanded the series be canceled after Cavill's departure. However, it is clear that Netflix will not give up and will continue with the production for a good while.
