Company releases plagiarized stickers from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom; mocks Nintendo lawyers

Some people aren't afraid of death, let alone Nintendo's lawyers. Such is the case with a company that sells products that allow consoles to be personalized, Dbrand, who took advantage of the release of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to do business and send a message to the legal department of the Japanese company.

DBRAND RELEASES ITS PLAGIARIZED STICKERS FROM ZELDA: TEARS OF THE KINGDOM

Controversial brand Dbrand tries to make a name for itself in the debut of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and put the Clone of the Kingdom set up for sale for $49.95 USD, which consists of stickers to stick on the Switch and Joy-Con, resulting in something similar to the collector's edition that was released in conjunction with the premiere. The detail is that Dbrand acknowledges that its product is plagiarism and made it clear that they are not afraid of Nintendo's lawyers.

THE CLONE OF THE KINGDOM SET LAUNCHES A CRITICISM AT NINTENDO AND ITS LAWYERS

What happens is that this sticker set modifies the original design of the special edition Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Switch but instead of the Triforce, it features the Illuminati symbol. It also has some inscriptions that, when interpreted, say "go to hell, lawyers."

According to Dbrand, the Clone of the Kingdom set is a response to one of the "most litigious" companies in video games, acknowledging Nintendo's reputation for lawsuits and zero tolerance regarding the unauthorized use of its properties, and a criticism of their decision to release a "limited edition" of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that doesn't have much of anything special since it seems like they just slapped on some stickers.
