The producer Story Kitchen knows that the boom of video game adaptations has just begun, so they acquired the rights to adapt one of the best titles of 2022 that won a GOTY. We are referring to the addictive Vampire Survivors.

The company partnered with Luca Galante and his poncle studio to bring the action of the title to television. The companies have already revealed the first details of this animated production that will undoubtedly excite all fans of the popular game.

Thanks to a Deadline report, we know that Story Kitchen is already working to adapt Vampire Survivors. In case you don't know, the producer is led by Derek Kolstad, creator of John Wick, and Dmitri M. Johnson, producer of Sonic: The Movie.

They will work closely with Luca Galante to adapt his successful game to a new format. Currently, Story Kitchen is looking for a screenwriter for the production, which does not yet have a platform for distribution.

"The most important thing in Vampire Survivors is the story, so it's a dream come true to see what started as a small independent game I made on weekends come to life as an animated TV show. It's also great to partner with such experienced and talented people to make the show. However, I wonder if they've realized that there isn't a single vampire in Vampire Survivors," said Galante.

Story Kitchen creatives stated that they enjoyed the game a lot and got hooked on it for many hours. So they are excited to be able to work with the franchise and bring it to new audiences.

"Despite being responsible for countless hours of productivity loss at Story Kitchen, we are thrilled and honored to partner with poncle to bring the grandiose gothic world of Vampire Survivors to life," said Dan Jevons, creative head of the producer.
