Final Fantasy XVI is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, and of course, Sony will take advantage of its temporary exclusivity to boost PlayStation 5 sales. This is why they will release a PlayStation 5 and Final Fantasy XVI bundle, but it will probably disappoint you.
Through a post on the PlayStation Twitter account, Sony confirmed that a PlayStation 5 bundle including Final Fantasy XVI is about to be released. In other words, it is a bundle that includes a standard version of the console (without a special design) and a voucher to redeem a digital copy of Final Fantasy XVI.
It should be noted that the price of this console is currently unknown. However, as with other PlayStation 5 bundles, we imagine it will be more expensive than the regular version without a game. Therefore, you shouldn't expect the bundle to include a special design, collector's content, or any kind of savings.
According to Sony, pre-orders for this bundle will be available starting May 4th on the official PlayStation store. The console will be released on June 22nd.
FINAL FANTASY FANS WILL WANT TO IMPORT FROM JAPAN
A little disappointing, isn't it? Well, at least we can take comfort in the fact that there will be more attractive options in Japan.
On their social media for the Japanese audience, PlayStation confirmed that a Final Fantasy XVI themed case for PlayStation 5 will also be available for purchase. Additionally, there will be a special edition DualSense controller featuring the JRPG's theme.
