It's clear that video games have reached impressive levels of realism, especially on new generation consoles and PCs. However, it's hard to imagine a game that truly looks like real life. That's about to change thanks to Unrecord, an FPS that looks so real.

Last year, we saw a impressive video game that stands out for its first-person perspective that sets it apart from other titles in the genre. Now, the French studio DRAMA has shared the first official trailer and more details of this proposal developed in Unreal Engine 5.

Impressive! Unrecord looks like a real video; first trailer and more details

Unrecord is a single-player FPS where the player plays as a police officer, but everything will be seen from the perspective of one body camera, which are used in real life by law enforcement officers to record their activities. This approach undoubtedly adds realism to the experience. However, the developers have stated that they're not trying to make a simulator.

This tactical shooter features complex dialogues and moral dilemmas in a story that can be compared to a thriller or detective novel. The player will have to investigate multiple criminal cases and face a diverse cast of characters. According to the official description on Steam, there will be numerous plot twists.

Naturally, the first thing that stands out about Unrecord is its first-person perspective. According to the DRAMA studio, the game uses a unique aiming system that allows unrestricted hand movements, making the experience very realistic and easily mistaken for real footage.

The studio refrained from revealing more details about this project, so the release date is unknown. In a frequently asked questions section, they stated that they have not decided on which platforms this title will be available.

What do you think of this video game? Did it catch your attention? Do you plan to give it a try? Let us know in the comments.
