A 29-year-old man was arrested by the Everett, Washington police after attacking and harming two young boys who called him an NPC. In case you didn't know, NPC refers to non-playable characters in video games, but it is also used to refer to people with little intelligence or independent thought.
The man became enraged at the insult and lost control, stabbing the 11-year-old boy with a kitchen knife he had on him for some reason. He was detained and charged with several crimes, facing a $500,000 USD bail as a result.
The incident occurred in late March when the young boys and the man crossed paths on the street. The police report reveals that the 29-year-old man pursued the children after they called him NPC. Unfortunately, he caught up with the 11-year-old and attacked him with the knife.
The victim was initially taken to a local hospital but was later transferred to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where it was confirmed that one of his lungs was damaged due to the unfortunate encounter. The other boy emerged unharmed but undoubtedly shaken.
The police immediately arrested the attacker thanks to an emergency call. After an investigation, it was confirmed that everything happened because the boys referred to the man as NPC.
Now, the 29-year-old man faces two charges of first-degree assault. A judge has set his bail at $500,000 USD. The police revealed that the man had no prior criminal record and did not attempt to resist arrest.
