Video games are currently in a time where they are adapting well to television and film. There are also series and movies that are already adapting well to the world of video games - it's almost a golden age! This has influenced what the community expects, and according to a survey, there are many gamers who want to see more video games based on series and movies.

Recently, Deloitte published its 17th Digital Media Trends Study, which includes interesting information about the gaming audience. As GamesBeat reports, almost half of the surveyed gamers (45%) wanted to see more video games based on movies and TV shows.

We have recently seen games like Hogwarts Legacy and Star Wars Jedi, which have successfully adapted universes that we have seen in books, movies, and TV shows. With this in mind, it is natural that more and more people are interested in seeing their favorite worlds adapted to an interactive medium.

That being said, we must remember that licensed games were not always this good. While there are some exceptions, games based on series and movies used to be considered trash for being rushed projects that only sought to take advantage of the popularity of their franchise to sell. That’s why the quality was poor, and players preferred to stay away from these types of games.

It's worth mentioning that the survey also revealed other interesting data. For example, it pointed out that 49% of players usually discover new music while playing. It also mentioned that 44% of respondents have decided to play a specific title after seeing a series or movie, which explains the recent success of The Last of Us.

What do you think of this study? Do you believe that more games based on popular series and movies should be released? Let us know in the comments.
