Gleeok will return after 37 years, revamped and much scarier

While Ganondorf caught most fans' attention in the latest trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there was something else on screen that fans have just noticed, which will please those who played the original game from 1986 as it will bring back one of its enemies.

Thanks to advances in the game, several creatures that will make their debut in Link and Zelda's next adventure have been discovered, including some of the enemies that will appear. One of them is a dragon that longtime fans of the series found familiar.

In the final part of last week's trailer, a huge three-headed dragon can be seen. If you are a young fan, you may not know it, but it is a Gleeok, a classic enemy of the series.

This character originally debuted in the first game of the franchise, The Legend of Zelda, way back in 1986. Although it initially appeared with two heads, later in the adventure it appeared with more heads, including the three-headed version.

Gleeok appeared in subsequent titles, and its design varied from game to game (in the original, it had a green appearance, while in conceptual art, it looked like a unicorn), but there is no doubt that the Gleeok in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be the scariest.

Apparently, in the new game, the design will be greatly modified, as it will only have one eye and three heads. It is important to mention that the two-headed version has appeared in several installments after the original, such as Oracle of Seasons (2001) and the last one was in Phantom Hourglass (2007), as reported by IGN.

That said, Gleeok's return will come true after not appearing in games for the past 16 years, and its three-headed version will appear for the first time in 37 years, which is how long it has been since the first game was released.

Details of Gleeok are unknown, but apparently, it could be a kind of mini-boss. It is important to note that the official name of this character has not been confirmed, but everything points to this classic enemy of the series. This would not be the first character that Nintendo has brought back, as we remember that in one of the game trailers, ReDead, one of the scariest enemies in the series, can also be seen.
