Halo Infinite claims another victim?

The Microsoft and Xbox scene has just been shaken up as it was announced that Joseph Staten has left the brand and the company, a surprising move as it was a fact until a few weeks ago that he would be joining Xbox Game Studios.

JOSEPH STATEN LEAVES XBOX AND MICROSOFT

Moments ago, through an official statement (via IGN), Microsoft announced that Joseph Staten is no longer part of Xbox and also not part of the company. Regarding this, Microsoft's brief message refers to the following: "We are grateful for Joseph's contributions to the Halo franchise and Xbox in general. We wish him all the best in his new adventure."

After the announcement was made, Joseph Staten responded on his Twitter account and revealed that his departure is from both Xbox and Microsoft, so his new project will be outside the North American company. He also anticipated that he will soon provide more information about his departure.

Joseph Staten's sudden departure comes shortly after it was announced that he would leave his work at 343 Industries to join Xbox Game Studios' publishing and distribution division, but something happened halfway through as the creative ultimately preferred to step aside.

Joseph Staten is one of the most recognized faces of Halo as he was part of the franchise's golden era while at Bungie, and then followed the path towards Destiny. However, when Halo Infinite was in trouble, Staten joined the campaign development team to try to save the project.

After the disastrous launch and everything that followed, Staten left 343i in the midst of the wave of layoffs and before taking his new job at Xbox Game Studios, he decided to support his colleagues by helping them find new employment. Once the goal was achieved, he joined Xbox Game Studios, but it seems he only lasted a few days there.
