Age of Empires II debuted more than 20 years ago, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have new content to surprise fans. Through its Definitive Edition, it has received several expansions and will soon receive another one.
Through social media, World's Edge announced that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition will welcome a new expansion. It's called Return of Rome, a new DLC that will debut on March 16.
But what the heck is Return of Rome? For now, there aren't many details about this new content for Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition. What we know is that it will be composed of content from Age of Empires: Definitive Edition that you can enjoy from the second installment in the series.
"We're announcing the next DLC for Age of Empires II: Definitive, Return of Rome. Does the image look familiar? Well, you're right. We're adding content from Age of Empires: Definitive Edition, playable in the Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition client! We'll share more details in the not-too-distant future, so stay tuned for more information," said World's Edge when announcing the expansion.
