Microsoft and Xbox are continuously working to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability with their products. A clear example of this is their new Remix Special Edition controller, which is made with recycled waste and leftover parts from previous generation Xbox controllers.
This interesting project was revealed to commemorate Earth Day. Xbox explained that the controller features recycled resins from all sorts of materials, from car parts, compact discs, and leftover pieces from Xbox One controllers.
In addition, it includes a rechargeable battery so that players don't have to worry about disposable batteries. The good news is that the controller will be sold worldwide and already has both a release date and price.
WHEN WILL THE REMIX SPECIAL EDITION CONTROLLER DEBUT AND HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
The Remix Special Edition controller boasts a great combination of earthy green colors that look quite nice. It is complemented with buttons, sticks, a cover, and more details in gray. Additionally, it features special textures on almost its entire body. Xbox explained that its design is inspired by natural landscapes.
As we mentioned, the controller includes an Xbox rechargeable battery to further reduce waste. This will give users up to 30 hours of use on a single charge. Like the rest of the controllers, the Remix Special Edition is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices.
The controller will arrive in stores on April 18th and will be sold at a suggested price of $84.99 USD. You can see another image below:
