It's official: the original cast of "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" will return for the Netflix anime series. Michael Cera, Chris Evans, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead will all reprise their roles for the upcoming show.

The news was announced by Netflix on Twitter, along with a brief teaser video featuring the cast's iconic character introductions. The tweet reads: "The cast of Scott Pilgrim is getting back together! Almost everyone! Stay tuned for more details!"

"Scott Pilgrim vs. The World" was a 2010 film directed by Edgar Wright, based on the graphic novel series by Bryan Lee O'Malley. The movie was a cult hit and starred Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must defeat his new girlfriend's seven evil exes in order to win her heart.

The upcoming Netflix anime series will reportedly adapt the entire graphic novel series, which spans six volumes. The show is being produced by Bryan Lee O'Malley and Ben David Grabinski, with animation by the studio behind "Castlevania."

Fans of the original movie are thrilled to hear that the original cast will be returning for the new series. Chris Evans, who played one of the evil exes, has since become a Marvel Cinematic Universe star as Captain America, but will now revisit his role as Lucas Lee. Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who played Scott's love interest Ramona Flowers, has also expressed excitement about returning to the character.

No release date has been announced yet for the "Scott Pilgrim" anime series, but fans are eagerly anticipating more details about the show.
