A long-awaited game is delayed again, but now has a new date

2023 will be full of important releases and gamers will finally be able to enjoy long-awaited titles. However, there is some bad news, as one of them suffered another delay and will take a little longer to debut. We are referring to the remake of System Shock, which many fans have been waiting for years.

In case you don't know, its release was scheduled for the end of this month; however, Nightdive Studios needs a little more time for its release to be a success. Fortunately, the studio has already confirmed a new release date and it's not too far away. In addition, it will offer a free gift to the first players who purchase the remake.

Through a post on Steam, Nightdive Studios explained that releasing the title this month is "beyond their reach," so they decided to move it to May. Players will have to wait just a few extra weeks, as it will debut on May 30 on PC. The title will be offered via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store for $39.99. The title will include a gift for the first players who purchase it, as it will offer a copy of System Shock 2: Enhanced Edition at no additional cost.

On the other hand, there is also a console version in development, but it does not have a release date yet. So PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One users will have to be more patient. The remake revisits the gameplay of the 1994 classic and improves it with updated graphics, revamped controls, and a different user interface. To top it off, new enemies, an attractive hacking system, and more have been added.

System Shock is a 1994 first-person action-adventure title that many gamers were fortunate enough to play when it first came out, and now they are eager to play the remastering of it that looks very appealing even to new people who have recently discovered it and will soon be available for purchase.
