Most of Dead Rising fans would never expect to see content from the canceled Dead Rising 5 title. Still, it was until this Friday when some exclusive in-game content from Dead Rising Dia De Los Muertos was unveiled thanks to a Technical Level Designer that shared never seen before footage in the form of videos showcasing some of the level design within the game.

Initially, the game was expected to implement some elements of other well-known titles such as Dark Souls and Assassin's Creed, but in the end, the game's development was canceled experienced the shuttering of Capcom Vancouver. Nobody could ever see anything about the game's progress.

Surprisingly, the user Stip0 shared via Twitter a post with a link to a portfolio showing some of the level design and milestone presentation of the unfinished Dead Rising 5 title and they stated that it "was found today by a community member." And it is Nick Sinkewicz's portfolio with all his different works done for a variety of titles.

Some of the different contents we can see in the portfolio are the showcase of the Loot Container System, level designs, and prototypes of the Traversal Gym, Camps, Hotel, and Barrio; which is based on an actual section of a town in Mexico. The videos are focused on demonstrating all of the visual works, and to avoid having them in complete silence an interesting set of songs were used in the videos. You can watch two of the presented videos below or click here to go to the portfolio page:

We were able to witness that there is only a very small portion to have a better idea of what the game could have been, besides the fact that it was still in early development and bases that would surely be modified later. Even the small glimpses of fighting looked incomplete and with unpolished animations. Players' reactions varied from wishing the game had been a reality to others who were not entirely convinced it would be as good as it was.
