Hogwarts Legacy is a hit in the UK and sells 80% more than ELDEN RING on its debut

Even though Hogwarts Legacy had a controversial launch, sales of the game have positioned it as a great success. In the United Kingdom, it was positioned as the week's top sales. In a matter of days, it became the most successful Harry Potter game ever in the region. It also surpassed the initial sales of games like ELDEN RING.

82% of physical sales of the game in the UK were for PlayStation 5, while the remaining 18% were for Xbox Series X. It is important to note that this data does not include digital sales. On the other hand, it managed to ship 80% more physical copies than ELDEN RING at its premiere in the region.

Hogwarts Legacy surpassed titles such as God of War Ragnarök, increasing its sales by 10%. It also surpassed the weekly sales of FIFA 23, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Dead Space, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, and other Nintendo Switch exclusives.

According to the information, Hogwarts Legacy had 64% higher sales than Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, an EA game that debuted in 2001 with great success. With this, Hogwarts Legacy has already become the most successful franchise game in history in the United Kingdom.

This means it surpassed other major releases like LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and all the games that Electronic Arts put out to accompany the franchise movies.

The forecasts for Hogwarts Legacy are very positive since it is estimated that its digital sales were also very high on all platforms, including Xbox Series S and PC.
