Back on December 16, 2022, the game development studio behind the Horizon franchise officially revealed the development of the next online project in the universe of this PlayStation exclusive through an announcement of job roles available to take part in this new work.
Late Friday night, January 27th, exclusive footage of the game in its Pre-Alpha state was revealed in a twelve-and-a-half-minute gameplay video along with the key art for the game that sparked different thoughts in the community.
The leaked footage and conceptual art divided the community, as some players are disappointed with the title's proposal while others are already excited to enjoy it. Comparisons did not take long to arrive and many believe that the game is a mix of Fortnite and Monster Hunter.
Although the reactions are varied, there is a detail that many are possibly omitting when watching the leaked gameplay on Reddit, and is that the showcased version dates back to June 3, 2020, so what you can see should not be anything close to what the development team has possibly advanced to this day. Even so, the opinions of the community have been something interesting to discover.

Some players believe that PlayStation is on the right track by trying to get closer to Epic Games' game, but others believe that it is a mistake since it will take away part of Horizon's essence. For that reason, some fans are even predicting the game's failure. Although it is clear that it is still too early to declare a victory or defeat for the idea of this new title.
