Dead Cells expansion ever was announced after opening The Game Awards 2022 on December 8, 2022, with the revelation of Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania. And today, January 19, a new teaser video has been shared by the game developers Motion Twin which was posted as a reminder for fans that this DLC will be released early this year.
The new little teaser gives a nod to the classic Castlevania games from which the Dead Cells games took inspiration, and it also shows glimpses of gameplay for the first time, so now we know better what it will look like. But this teaser video was not everything that was shared today. Motion Twin has also opened up applications for streamers and content creators to apply for Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania keys on Keymailer, but it is stated that they "won't be distributing any keys for a little while." This DLC is one of the most anticipated of the Dead Cells saga, to be included in the world that initially served as an inspiration to be created, it gives a much more special essence to this game. The classic gameplay that Castlevania had will be brought back in this expansion for all its fans and having a little nostalgia will be inevitable for many.
