With more than 100 million users, PlayStation is one of the most recognized video gaming brands in the world. We could even say the vast majority of people have come to have at least one of the consoles offered by this brand.
This Thursday, January 12, PlayStation published via blog article the most discounted games in December 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PS VR consoles in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Here we will share the games that are at the top of the top and mention some peculiarities that can be found in the following lists.
PlayStation 5 Games
In the top of games downloaded on PlayStation 5, we can see a small similarity with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, FIFA 23, and Grand Theft Auto V being in the top five. In sixth place is The Callisto Protocol in all regions as well as God of War Ragnarök which is in seventh place; and Madden NFL 23 is only found in the US/Canada regions placed in fifth place.
PlayStation 4 Games
In PS4 games we can see a similarity with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, FIFA 23, Minecraft, and Grand Theft Auto V are in the top five in both regions. And this time we find Red Dead Redemption 2 in sixth place. We see a new title on the list which is The Last of Us Part II ranked fifth in the US/Canada and seventh in the EU.
PS VR Games
As for PS VR, three titles take the top spots in both regions and they are Beat Saber, Job Simulator, and SUPERHOT VR. We can see a peculiar difference with the title Sniper Elite VR which is in tenth place in US/Canada but ranks fourth in the EU.
Free to Play PS5 + PS4 Games
If we look at the Free-to-Play category, we find Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 taking the top in all regions. We also see Fall Guys in fourth place in all regions and we find that Overwatch 2 was more downloaded in US/Canada than in the EU.

All these are the titles that had the most relevance in December 2022 for the PlayStation community with the selected consoles.
