All gamers can say that 2022 was an excellent year for video game releases. And as is customary at the beginning of the year, some events reward the best of the previous year.
One of those events is coming up, and 2 of the biggest games on PlayStation 5 lead the list of nominations.
Every year, the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS) holds the Design Innovate Communicate Entertaining Awards (DICE Awards), in which industry members honor their peers' achievements and recognize their projects.
The 26th edition of the DICE Awards has just presented the final nominees who will compete for the prestigious awards.
PLAYSTATION EXCLUSIVES HIGHLIGHTED AT DICE AWARDS 2023
What is striking is that in this new edition, PlayStation exclusives are at the top of the list of nominations. We are talking about God of War Ragnarök and Horizon Forbidden West, who took first place with 12 nominations and second with seven nominations, respectively.
This leadership of PlayStation games at the DICE Awards is not strange. At the DICE Awards 2019, this happened with God of War (2018), which was also nominated 12 times and, in the end, took home nine awards; at the DICE Awards 2020, with Death Stranding and Control (both with eight nominations); at DICE Awards 2021, with The Last of Us: Part II, with 11 nominations, although in the end, HADES was the most awarded and at DICE Awards 2022, with Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which led with nine nominations, of which it was completed. 4 in statuettes.
That said, the statistics tell us that the chances of God of War Ragnarök being the most awarded game of the night are high, although, of course, it is not ruled out that ELDEN RING will take the most important prize, that of the Game of the Year 2022, as it happened at The Game Awards 2022.
