What to expect from this event
The event prepared by Microsoft, as suggested by the anticipations of journalist Jez Corden of WindowsCentral, will take on the contours of a digital show along the lines of the Nintendo Direct, and therefore with a brief presentation accompanied by a lengthy roundup of video insights on the titles of the 'green-crowned stable.'
The first event in this new format is set for Wednesday, January 25, at 12 pm PT/3 pm ET. Developers from Arkane Austin, Mojang Studios, Turn 10 Studios, and ZeniMax Online will take the digital stage of the Xbox Developer Direct to open a window on the universes of The Elder Scrolls Online, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, and Redfall, in addition to other unspecified titles from other software houses.
In case you missed it: Is the new Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family plan coming to the US?
According to the editors of Xbox Wire's institutional blog, the event will focus on video games that will be launched in the coming months: thus, the launch within the first half of 2023 of the open-world survival horror Redfall, the sandbox adventure Minecraft Legends, and the new installment of the Forza Motorsport automobilists simulator is confirmed.
